This is what I needed:
t_widths as_pdf3.tp_col_widths;
t_headers as_pdf3.tp_headers;

I had declared my own arrays and tried to use them, even though they match the types that as_pdf3 was using, that was never going to work.

Strange, but this works for me:

t_query varchar2(1000);
t_widths as_pdf3.tp_col_widths;
t_headers as_pdf3.tp_headers;
t_query := 'select rownum, sysdate + level, ''example'' || level from dual connect by level <= 50';
t_widths := as_pdf3.tp_col_widths( 100, 75, 300 );
t_headers := as_pdf3.tp_headers( 'COL 1', 'COL 2', 'COL 3' );
as_pdf3.query2table( t_query, t_widths, t_headers );
Sample as_pdf3.query2table with

I am trying to use as_pdf3 as a standalone package. It is very a nice package, but I am trying to get the headers and column widths correct in the query2table procedure. All the samples I see only show the first parameter used. I would like a working sample using all three. I can not get the headers and column widths to work. No matter what I try I get an PLS-00306 wrong number or type of arguments in call to query2table.

as_pdf3.query2table(ls_query) -> works
as_pdf3.query2table(ls_query, NULL, NULL) - > works

if I substitute anything for the nulls, even arrays, I get an error.
